“Two things fill the mind with ever new and increasing admiration and awe,
the more often and steadily we reflect upon them: the starry heavens
above me and the moral law within me.” - Kant

About me

The Early Years

I was born in Belgrade, Serbia (former Yugoslavia) in 1986. In '92 my family made the trek over the Atlantic -- braving stormy seas, rogue waves, and bad case of the plague. We eventually settled in California and around this time I developed an exagerated imagination.

My first run in with computers was in the mid 90s. It all began with my Dad's 15 lbs 386 'laptop' loaded with MSDOS 4.01 and an astonishing 10 minutes of battery life. I soon discovered QBASIC and experimented with how many IF...THEN and FOR...NEXT loops I could stuff on to a floppy. (A whole lot!)

I had a pretty standard 90's childhood. I spent most of my time playing basketball, videogames, and staring wide-eyed at all astonishing technology that seemed to be falling from the sky.

(ps. That's my sister Jelena in red, I'm the terrified one in blue.)

The Slightly Less-Early Years

I soon finished high school and found myself studying Philosophy and Rowing. To this day I'm not sure how I got those habits. I made it through community college and wound up at Berkeley.

After College I found myself working for a travel start up - Kijubi.com. Again, how I found myself there is still a mystery. I became the Online Marketing director and in turn fell back in love with the tech world. The vast amount of learning required, and the rapid-fire rate of change, truly swept me off my feet.

My latest launched project is Red Star Digital Media. RSDM is an online marketing firm that helps small businesses with their web design, SEO and social media. Basically, it's a venue for me to freelance and sharpen my web ninja skills.
